New Haven Free Film Series: Concerning Violence

November 09, 2018 at 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Second film in our free movie series!

Narrated by Lauryn Hill and based on Frantz Fanon's Wretched of the Earth, Concerning Violence uses archival footage to explore the most daring moments in the struggle for liberation from neo-colonial rule in Africa during the 60’s and 70’s. The film chronicles anti-imperialist liberation movements from the 1970s onward and crafts a powerful document that brings us face-to-face with those fighting for liberation.
