Stop the War on Iraq! End the Occupation!
The Party for Socialism and Liberation stands for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. The PSL is a member of the Steering Committee of the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), inside which our activists have played an important role in organizing and building mass antiwar demonstrations across the country.
As a coalition, A.N.S.W.E.R. has been characterized by its uncompromising opposition to U.S. imperialism, using every opportunity to link the war in Iraq to the occupations of Palestine and Haiti, the threats on Iran and Syria, the continued colonial subjugation of the Philippines and Puerto Rico, and the attacks on workers in the United States. Full rights for all immigrants!
In March 2006, the new civil rights movement - the movement for immigrant rights - swept through the country. Millions upon millions of immigrants and their supporters have taken to the streets to demand full rights. The Party for Socialism and Liberation has played the greatest support role possible in these demonstrations. We have advocated full amnesty for all immigrants.
No human being is illegal, and all attempts to create a second-class of workers - whether as undocumented immigrants or as guest workers - is an attack on the working class as a whole. [more] |

Labor: Better wages, benefits, and working conditionsl
We fully support every workers' struggle for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. The overall condition of the working class is in large part determined by the strength of the labor unions, which despite their weakened state and their constant misleadership, are the only protection for workers against the ruthlessness of capitalism.
Our members are required to join labor unions if they exist at their workplace. We approach all labor struggles with the motto: "If you don't have a union, fight for a union! If you have a union, fight to make your union fight!" Organize the unorganized! |

Community activism: the day-to-day struggle

No political party can speak for the interests of the working class if it is not based in working class communities. National and international struggles may receive more media exposure, but they alone will not significantly raise the consciousness of the working and oppressed people of this country. These struggles must be fused with the day-to-day struggles that characterize life under capitalism.
Our Party supports and participates in struggles of all shapes and sizes, whether it's against police brutality, or for health care, education or tenant rights. The working class will not stand with a Party that does not stand with them in the fight for better living conditions. [more] |

Defend revolutionary Cuba!
The Party for Socialism and Liberation considers the defense of revolutionary Cuba one of the principal responsibilities of socialists in the United States. Since its 1959 revolution, Cuba has provided the world with a stirring example of what a people can accomplish once the working class seizes political power from the tiny minority of capitalists. The PSL participates in campaigns to free the Cuban Five, to extradite the terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, and to end the U.S.-imposed blockade of Cuba.
Although isolated and attacked by the United States, and despite the underdevelopment it inherited from its colonial past, revolutionary Cuba has eliminated illiteracy, fostered cultural life, promoted women's rights and provided free health care for all. [more] |

Free Palestine!
The Party for Socialism and Liberation stands for the right of return for all 6 million Palestinian refugees, the immediate end to the occupation of Palestine, and the end of the apartheid system on which the state of Israel was founded, and still rests. The PSL has helped organize demonstrations against the U.S.-Israeli invasions of Gaza and Lebanon.
Our Party is a member of the Steering Committee of the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), inside which our activists have played an important role in linking the cause of Palestine with the war in Iraq. [more] |

No to neoliberalism and globalization!
The Party for Socialism and Liberation stands firmly with all those resisting neoliberalism and capitalist globalization. Globalization and neoliberalism are simply the newest names for imperialism and colonialism.
In their insatiable drive for cheaper labor, more consumer markets, and natural resources, the developed capitalist countries obliterate the existing economic norms of the underdeveloped world. They privatize everything, drive local competitors out of existence, and extract super-profits all in the name of "progress" and "free trade." We participate in demonstrations against the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, against NAFTA, the FTA, and other "free trade" agreements. [more]
