DC PSL Film Screening: The Hunting Ground

March 25, 2016 at 7pm - 10pm

Up to one in four women in higher education report facing sexual assault before graduating--a figure that becomes much higher once unreported assaults are counted. The stunning prevalence of sexual assault in colleges and universities reflects a deeply mysogynistic society, where sexual violence is an epidemic.

Join the PSL for a screening of the documentary, “The Hunting Ground,” which reviews the factors behind the epidemic and exposes its true scope. A brief analysis of the film and a discussion period will follow the screening.

The Hunting Ground" was written and directed by Kirby Dick, and produced by Amy Ziering. It premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and an edited version later aired on CNN. Official website:www.thehuntinggroundfilm.com. Running time: 103 minutes.
