For many decades, the United States government has made visiting Cuba difficult with varying levels of restrictions on travel and trade through its continued blockade on the sovereign island nation. For this reason, many unfounded rumors and exaggerations about this country persist throughout the United States today. But what is life in Cuba really like? What is life like under socialism? What do people in Cuba really think about their country?

Join us for a presentation from PSL members who recently returned from a delegation to Cuba. Learn about their experience of speaking with actual Cuban people about agriculture, education, art, culture, politics, jobs, healthcare, and so much more. We’ll be showing pictures, telling stories, and dispelling some common misconceptions.

Red and Purple line to Wilshire/Vermont Station. Limited parking on Westmoreland/8th.
